Patrick Duffy Jr. has been a practicing attorney in Washington State since 1975. His practice emphasizes personal injury, wrongful death, and sexual harassment.
Mr. Duffy was raised in Sumner and graduated from Sumner High School in 1968. He achieved a Bachelor's Degree in political science from the University of Washington in 1972. Mr. Duffy obtained his Juris Doctor degree in June 1975 from the University of Washington School of Law. He passed the bar examination in October 1975, and entered private practice.
Community activities have provided great satisfaction to Mr. Duffy. He has been a coach and sponsor of numerous youth sports teams over the past 20 years. He has also served on various community boards. Hi is a past president and active member of the Sumner Rotary Club and was a member of the board of directors of the Bank of Sumner prior to its merger with Frontier Bank in 1998. He is currently president of the Sumner-Bonney Lake Education Foundation, a community group which raises scholarship funds for Sumner High School students.
Mr. Duffy resides in the Sumner community with his wife Karen. They have three adult daughters. Deirdre is a high school teacher. Clare and Tory are full-time students at the University of Washington-Seattle. Karen Duffy substitutes as an elementary school teacher and is a dedicated volunteer with the Tacoma Junior League and the Sumner School District.
